Frequently asked Questions

Where can I buy tickets?

E-tickets are available online via this link. A selection of local shops and businesses have tickets available to buy usually through August until the show day at the end of September. Tickets can also be purchased on the gate on entry to the show. Pricing and further information can be found on our Tickets Page.

Is parking free?

General parking is free for all visitors. VIP parking is also available for visitors who purchase a VIP pass ahead of show day. Details of these passes can be found here. No VIP passes will be available to purchase on the gate. Disabled parking is also available.

Can I cycle to the show?
Yes! The free bicycle park will be located next to the main visitor entrance to the Showground. Please ensure you lock your bike to the rail. The Southwell Agricultural Society and Show cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to visitors’ property.

What time is the show open from and until?
The public entrance gate opens at 8am and the show usually draws to a close at 5pm.

Is the show disability and pushchair friendly?
Mostly the Showground is outlaid on a flat grassed or stubble surface, so with care and attention, disabled and guests with pushchairs should find accessibility fine. Whilst we try our best to ensure a safe and suitable even surface for disabled and pushchair guests, sometimes the weather and ground conditions make accessibility to the whole Showground rather difficult or uneven. Certain trailers on the tractor and trailer rides have disabled access and pushchair lifts/ramps to ensure passengers can embark/disembark with ease. Disabled parking is available at the show for blue badge holders. Please follow the signs on show day.

Can I bring my dog to the show?
Yes, absolutely! Dogs are vey welcome to come to the show. There’s lots of dog friendly trade stands and even a dog show which accepts entries on the day. More information can be found via this link. Drinking water points will be displayed at the Showground for visitors to help themselves to free water for their dogs. Please ensure you clean up after your dog and dispose of the mess in the nearest bin. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times across the entire showground.

DO NOT LEAVE DOGS IN CARS.
