Static Vintage

The display of vintage, tractors and farm implements display brings together equipment used from pre Second World War up to the turn of the Century.  Exhibits come from an unrestored to showroom condition.  Being static it enables showgoers to get very close to these machines and can witness how much more sophisticated and driver friendly they became through the ages.  At the end of the day there is a grand parade and expert commentary given on each machine.

The stationery engines on display show how plant and machinery were powered before electrification. Common uses were as water pumps, generators and driving sheep shearing equipment.  They were often single cylinder simple petrol engines.

A threshing drum works next to the vintage display demonstrating how grain was removed from the straw, cleaned and bagged.
