Summer Party 2024 Round Up
From the committee of Southwell and District Agricultural Society, we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended or supported our 2024 SUMMER PARTY
The social and wider committee put a huge shift in, setting up the site, running the event and clearing up yesterday morning
Special thanks must go to all of the following who put a huge amount of work in this week to make the event happen:
🏡 Oxton Estate for providing a brilliant site
🍻 Bar team
🎟️ Gate team
🚗 Parking team
🎪 Set up team
🧹 Clear up team
Our volunteers this year ranged from social committee members, wider committee members and friends from the community, all giving their time to put on a good party and raise some money. The proceeds of this event go some way to supporting Southwell Ploughing Match and Show but also our designated charities💰
In addition, the party couldn’t have gone ahead without the support of many local companies:
🏰 Bouncy castle team
🍺 Jem Hill’s bar equipment
🎶 DJ Chris Bevans
🐷 Bofs Hogs
🥘 The Gastropod
🍕 The Peel: Wood Fired Pizza Kitchen
🚽 Sherwood toilet hire
🎪 Richmond event hire
🚚 Hardstaff’s refrigerated trailer
Despite the delightful weather ☔️ everyone put on a great show and made the party professional and entertaining, whilst keeping us all well fed and watered!
Sorry if we’ve missed anyone, a lot of people had a great time so credit must go to all involved! We look forward to next year! 🌞🍻🥳 💃🍹🌅
I love seeing the highlights from the summer party and how it brings the community together. After reading event recaps like this, I enjoy Wacky Flip which is a fun game that tests my timing and makes every landing exciting.
If you've never played Baseball Bros, it's worth giving it a try just to see how chaotic browser baseball can become. Hit massive home runs, make diving defensive plays, steal bases, challenge your friends, and see whether you can survive a full championship run in Franchise Mode.
